Bridal Bargains

Well I got the book “Bridal Bargains” by Denise & Alan Fields that Erin has been raving about. And so far I cannot stop reading it, I keep wanting to plan more with the wedding. And even though I am supposed to be reading up on photographers and djs at this moment I’ve been spending most of my time reading about bridesmaid’s dresses.
Since I spent most of the past weekend with 2 of my bridesmaids (Gwen and Nicole) these topics did come up. My goal for the bridesmaid dresses is to find something affordable, and hopefully able to use again. Now I am not sure if that is truly possible, I have only been a bridesmaid once (my brothers wedding) and I have never worn that dress again, but I am going to try. Most importantly I want them to have a dress they feel comfortable in.
Anyways this book provided me with some good places to look, so bridesmaids if you are reading this you need to do some browsing and tell me what you like. I am fine with the idea of each of you having different dresses so long as the designer, color and length are the same (that isnt asking too much is it?). So keep an eye out on your emails girls cause I am going to be sending some info your way.
Not only did I spend the weekend hanging out with two of my girls, Justin and I went to Ceci and Denni’s wedding. Man that wedding was amazing, and the dancing was the best thing ever!!! It made me pinky swear Justin to take ballroom classes with me once we are moved into DC. Its amazing how now I view others weddings differently, quietly picking out the parts I liked so I can incorporate them into my own.

How about all of you going to Marshalls and finding something that fits everyone and does not cost more than $20?
That way it will be inexpensive, you can use it again and everyone is happy.

If I get more Ideas, I’ll let you know..

I got another idea, how about going to a uniform website. You can find stuff that fits, cheap and you can use them afterwords to work in garden, or if you get a part time job as a security person.

    I’ll keep thinking

As far as dancing, I think I got some of the LP records that your grandmother and grandfather used. I think they also had a video tape, but I am not sure where that is.

I can send you the cha cha record so that you can practice.

hehe very funny dad. But trust me, Nicole, Gwen and Jess will not appreciate looking like a security officer, or wearing scrubs…. that will not happen at this wedding. It is good to know you are looking out for them, but we will come up with something.

And as for Justin getting out of dancing lessons… he doesn’t stand a chance. We will start taking lessons once we get moved into and situated in DC, and he is going to like it too. Perhaps you should take mom to some dance classes again so you can brush up on your polka technique.

I think the security officer’s uniform would have more use at the Bachelorette party then the wedding. You know I don’t care what the dress looks like as long as it does not have any one of the following.

    1) Ruffles, on the behind or otherwise

    2) Any color that resembles baby puke, baby crap, or a color with a name like sea foam

    3) Finally, does not inspire one to think of a fruit, vegetable or mineral.
